FAQ
At Bayside Literacy Lab, our focus is on building the essential foundational skills students need to be successful in reading, spelling and writing. We take a targeted approach, identifying any knowledge gaps and remediating those areas, before adding new learning. We focus on upskilling so that your child has the tools they need to reach their full potential.
We have a spacious and inviting home clinic set up, where kids feel welcome and relaxed. Most families opt for the drop-and-go option but if you prefer to sit in on the session, you are most welcome. Online sessions are also an option for remote learners.
During your child's first session, a literacy assessment is carried out in order to identify where they are at, using a range of evidence-based assessment tools. Following this, you will receive a comprehensive report, clearly identifying areas needing remediation. You will receive written feedback after every session, outlining what was covered and where to next. Formalised progress reports are provided every 6-12 months.
At Bayside Literacy Lab, we see students from Prep to Year 6, including those experiencing difficulty meeting classroom goals. Our sessions are relaxed, focused and inclusive, catering to the needs of a diverse range of learners.

My son has been receiving tutoring from Kim, and the impact has been truly remarkable. From the very first session, it was clear that Kim has a deep understanding of dyslexia, and the specific strategies needed to support children with it. My son has not only improved in his reading and writing skills but has also gained confidence and a newfound love for learning. I am so grateful for the dedication and expertise that Kim brings to every session.
I would highly recommend Kim to any parent looking for specialized, compassionate, and effective support for their child with dyslexia.
